Show Overview: At the 2012 Paris Book Salon, there will be an emphasis on institutional partnerships, a rich cultural program with over 3000 writers and over 500 meeting, and will be open to the public for 4 days with Monday morning reserved for the book trade only. There will be a consolidation of the flagship events: the film market, the digital conference, the translation day, the rights center, the booksellers’ previews and company presentations for small publishing houses. The event will have talks, panel discussions, symposia, book signings, and exhibitions. The fair will be full of specialized events such as a children’s event on the Youth Stage, a Presentation of digital products aimed at booksellers, The Labo de l’Édition presented by the Mayor of Paris, BIEF’S “Café pro” – an opportunity for international cultural cooperation, and much more.
